On Wednesday, May 2, we are considering organizing a hike to Tibidabo, the highest hill in the Collserola natural park, boosting some amazing views over the city of Barcelona:

We propose two options to get there, involving walking through the Collserola natural park: a shorter (“the walk”) and a longer one (“the hike”). Please tell us what you prefer by filling in the Doodle!

Option 1: “the walk”

From Baixador de Vallvidrera train station to Tibidabo.

Distance: 3.7 km (2.3 miles)
Duration: 1:15-1:30 hours.
Total ascent: about 300 meters.

See route here.

Option 2: “the hike”

From Sant Cugat FGC train station to Tibidabo, through the Collserola park.

Distance: about 12 km (7.5 miles).
Duration: 3-4 hours (depending on stops).
Total ascent: about 500 meters.

The map below shows one possible route (the alternative starts directly following the GR-6 trail—dotted in the map, but the length and difficulty is similar)

See route here.
