Bojan Mohar is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair at the Mathematics Department at the Simon Fraser University. He also keeps his affiliation at the Mathematical Institute (IMFM) at the University of Ljubljana. His main research areas are algebraic, topological and structural graph theory and he has been active in Graph Drawing since the very first meeting in Marino, Italy in 1992. He published over 250 research papers and coauthored a book on Graphs on Surfaces together with Carsten Thomassen. He is an Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Combinatorial Theory B and for the Electronic Journal of Combinatorics. Alexandru Telea received his PhD (2000) in Computer Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, in the area of visualization system design. Until 2007, he was assistant professor in visualization and computer graphics at the same university. Since 2007, he is professor of multiscale visual analytics at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Groningen, the Netherlands. His interests include 3D multiscale shape processing, information visualization (with a focus on relational and multidimensional data), software visualization, and visual analytics. He has published over 200 papers in the above fields. He is the author of the textbook “Data Visualization – Principles and Practice” (CRC Press, 2nd edition, 2014) and the co-creator of CUBu, the world’s fastest bundling algorithm for general graphs.
