Grants for students wishing to do their PhD abroad
There exist many opportunities to obtain a grant if you wish to do your PhD in Discrete and/or Algorithmic Geometry in prestigious research groups located mainly in Europe, and also in the USA and Canada. Please contact me if you are interested in this option.
Advising doctoral thesis
Currently, I am interested in advising PhD thesis on geometric algorithms for modular robotic systems, i.e., oriented to the design of geometric algorithms to reconfigure, locomote, and self-repair modular robotic systems, and to the obtention of theoretical results about them. I am also willing to coadvise PhD thesis with other members of the UPC Research Group on Discrete, Combinatorial, and Computational Geometry. You cas see here what we do.
Advised doctoral thesis
– Some problems on proximity graphs, by Maria Saumell Mendiola, coadvised with Ferran Hurtado, 2011.
You can see what other thesis I have advised following this link.
